Failure Analysis Of L-shaped Three-way Ball Valve

In The Past, Q44F-40 DN25L Three-way Ball Valves Were Used For The High And Low Pressure Conversion Of High-pressure Ammonia Water Injection Circulation Systems In Coking Plants Across The Country. The Typical Structure Of This Valve Is Shown In Figure 1, And Its Main Sealing Components Consist Of Left And Right Polytetrafluoroethylene Valve Seats And A Spherical Body With An L-shaped Channel.

When The Valve Is First Used After Leaving The Factory, There Is A Certain Pre Tightening Force Between The Valve Seats On Both Sides And The Ball Body, So The Valve Can Maintain Sealing For A Period Of Time. Due To The Cold Flow Deformation Of The PTFE Valve Seat Under Certain Temperature And Pressure, And The Wear Of The Valve Seat During Use, Especially The Scraping Effect Of The Narrow Part Formed Between The Two Outlets Of The L-shaped Channel Of The Ball On The Valve Seat And The Adhesion Of Impurities And Tar, The Damage To The Valve Seat Is Further Exacerbated. Due To The Cold Flow Deformation Of The PTFE Valve Seat Under Certain Pressure And Temperature, The Pre Tightening Force Between The Valve Seat And The Sphere Will Gradually Disappear. No Matter How The Valve Seat Material Is Improved Or The Processing And Assembly Accuracy Is Increased, The Service Life Of The Valve Can Only Be Appropriately Extended. Structure Principle And Characteristics Of Combined Three-way Valve

The Structure Of The YQ44F-40 DN25 Combination Three-way Valve Developed By Our Company Is Shown In Figures 3, 4, And 5. It Is Composed Of A Straight Through Floating Ball Valve And A Sleeve Type Check Valve. The Left Ball Valve Is Connected To The High-pressure System, The Right Check Valve Is Connected To The Low-pressure System, And The Middle Outlet Is Connected To The Discharge Pipeline. When The Ball Valve Is Closed, The High-pressure Channel Is Cut Off, And The Check Valve Disc Automatically Opens Under The Push Of The Low-pressure Medium. The Low-pressure Ammonia Water Is Discharged Through The Middle Outlet Channel. When The Ball Valve Is Opened, High-pressure Ammonia Water Pushes The Check Valve Disc Towards The Valve Seat, The Check Valve Closes, The Low-pressure Channel Is Cut Off, And High-pressure Ammonia Water Is Discharged Through The Intermediate Outlet Channel. After Spraying, Close The Ball Valve, The Check Valve Will Automatically Open, And Low-pressure Ammonia Water Can Be Discharged Automatically.
